By purchasing from Fire Agate and Opal, you are in agreement with the Terms of Service and Refund Policy below.

Our top priority is to provide a pleasurable experience for every client. We believe our jewelry and gems will look even better in person than they look on our website, but in such a case where the received gems or jewelry do not meet a client’s expectations in every way, any item that is not custom-made may be returned for a full refund, less shipping. Custom-made jewelry may be returned, but the cost of services rendered are non-refundable. Custom jewelry will have a gem component and a fabrication component. The gem will be fully refundable, and the value of the precious metal will be refundable based on the value of scrap on the day of receipt.

We ship via the United States Postal Service. Any order over $250.00 must be signed for by the person who the parcel is being shipped to. That person must be 21 years or older. If any adjustments need to be made, please contact us before purchasing. If, at the time of delivery, there is any outward damage to the parcel, please refuse delivery and contact us. Once a parcel is signed for and delivered, ownership of the gems or jewelry transfer to the client and refunds will only be made if the original unadulterated contents of the parcel are returned within thirty calendar days. If a return is found to be incomplete, worn, used, or altered in any way from their original state as shipped, a refund may be partial or refused and returned to the client.

Care should be taken to keep opals in cool shaded spaces when not being worn to prevent thermal shock and cracking.

Sometimes natural opals are subjectable to crazing, which is when the internal stress within the opal causes it to crack internally without external forces. Crazing typically happens closer to when the opal is cut, in almost all cases, the newly cut opals are held for six months to a year before being offered to confirm it is stable and unlikely to craze. All opals are inspected before shipping to confirm the stones are stable and have no signs of crazing. In such an event where an opal is found to have an internal crack from crazing, within ninety days of receipt, reach out to us and let us know. For high value items, we reserve the right to require the opal or opal jewelry to be shipped back to us for inspection. If crazing has been found to occur, the client will have the option to return the opal or opal jewelry for a full refund (including services rendered and the cost of shipping) or the client will have the option to keep the opal or opal jewelry and receive a partial refund, dependent on the severity of the crazing.

Our greatest goal is customer satisfaction, so we reserve the right to make any exception to the above policies to the benefit of the client if conditions merit.
