Crafted from solid Australian opal sourced from Lightning Ridge, it has been cut and set in our shop. The opal measures 14mm x 10mm, weighs 3.25 carats, and comes paired with a sterling silver chain.
Sometimes there is a bit of give and take with a gem. When cutting this opal, the dark backing was very thin, so we shaped it carefully to preserve as much as possible. Keeping the backing intact helps the stone appear brighter, and there’s an image of the back to show more detail.
