In hand, it appears half red and half pink. While Montana produces many garnets, they don’t glow red or pink under blacklight, whereas pink sapphires and rubies do. Altogether, this lot contains just over 10 carats of rough pink Montana sapphires, most around 3mm in size. None have been heat-treated or altered beyond cutting and polishing—the rough stones remain exactly as they came from the ground.
